Russia to Review Chemical Weapons Disposal Effort

Russia plans to hold a review July 28 of its chemical weapons disposal effort, according to ITAR-Tass (see GSN, July 19).

The Russian chemical weapons elimination commission met today to consider new wording for the chemical weapons disposal program, according to ITAR-Tass. Commission Chairman Sergei Kiriyenko has said that the drafting and approval of new wording for the program could take several months to complete (Tatyana Khan, ITAR-Tass, July 23).
