Description: Reports of missile base construction in Yongnim-kun first became public in July 1999. Considering Yongnim-kun's location, the base is almost certainly designed for the Nodong, Paektusan-1 and/or the Taepodong-2. According to a South Korea military source, construction on this base had begun by 1994. About 60 to 80% of the construction had been completed by March 2001.
