Former Intern, NTI
Shoa Moosavi is the spring 2023 intern for the Global Biological Policy and Programs team (NTI | bio). She supports NTI | Bio’s GHS Index, Global Biosecurity Dialogue, and Next Generation for Biosecurity projects. In these roles, she helps analyze biosafety and biosecurity capacities of health systems so they can improve their ability to prevent, detect, and respond to biological threats.
Moosavi is a student at Georgetown University completing her B.S. in Global Health and M.S. in Global Infectious Disease. Her professional interests include global health security, health systems strengthening, and outbreak response. Previously, she worked for organizations such as the CDC and FHI 360 and consulted for foreign Ministries of Health through Georgetown University. Shoa is originally from southern New Jersey. In her free time, she enjoys painting, watching Philly sports, and cooking for her family and friends. She is excited to work on NTI | Bio projects during spring 2023 and work alongside the incredible team!
